Kingdom Keepers the Insider by Ridley Pearson

This is Wil. I finished this series. I enjoyed the way magic was used in this book. My family and I really enjoy the Disney Parks and characters so this is right up our alley. I also hear Mr. Pearson is going to continue writing about these characters so that is a plus. I also liked how the author included the fans and let them contribute to the story.

Insurgent by Veronica Roth

This is Wil. The book blew me away. Sacrifice is a very hard thing to do and this book is filled with it. Great story. The ending really was an eye opener. I have to run out and get the last book in the series. I love books.

Divergent by Veronica Roth

This is by Wil. I enjoyed this book. It really makes me think about family units and choices that we make. In a way when we leave home to college or some other place we choose a tribe. Sometimes you can never go back home like Beatrice. It has been made into a movie I would like to see it. I worry that it won't be as good as the book.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling

This book was read by Wil. This is the last book in this series. I like to reread this novel. It wraps the books and I really liked the ending. In the end all we have it love. Love is displayed in many different ways.

Cryer's Cross by Lisa McMann

A teacher on my campus asked me to read through some new titles she purchased through a reputable vendor for her ESL classroom. This one was the least objectionable by far. It had some well developed characters and a far fetched supernatural vibe. It was a fun, quick read. This was read by Candice.

Star Wars Galaxy of Fear by John Whitman

Liam enjoyed when Lando said everyone loved being scared. Also Lando's interaction with bounty hunters. Liam learned about a new character a droid called Dee Vee and is Liam's favorite character because he is smart.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince by JK Rowling

I have read this book multiple times and I really enjoy the story. This like many books is far superior to the movies. I see how the character of Harry is trying to live a semi normal life with the love portion and Ginny, but he is truly is unable to with his destiny. The further development of Voldemort is great. This book really leads me to want to read the final book and I probably will. I can't help myself. Wil read this book.

Bad Kitty vs Uncle Murray by Nick Bruel

This is Liam's first post. His favorite part is when all the cats were chasing Uncle Murray. His favorite character is Bad Kitty. Liam thinks it is funny. If you want a good laugh you should read this book.

Bad Kitty vs Uncle Murray by Nick Bruel

This is Liam's first post.

Emerald Green by Kerstin Gier

This is the third book in a series I was very excited about reading. The series has been smart, exciting and funny. I was a little disappointed with this book as the others in the series moved quickly and this one was a little slow in comparison. I am pleased I read it, though, because it provided closure for the characters and man subplots woven throughout the story.

Why This Site?

Hello All, My family and I love reading books and when we went to see Rick Riordan he talked about how the average person reads very few books every year. This year we will challenge others by posting the books that our family reads. We hope that this will inspire others to read books. Our family has four members in it. My name is Wil, my wife is Candice, and our kids are Kayden and Liam. Feel free to drop us a line.
